In summer 2009, 33 young Arab and Kurdish, Armenian and Assyrian Iraqi musicians met in the Kurdish town of Suleymaniyah for the first time to play classical music together during a two week workshop. They worked intensively with their music teachers from  the UK and the USA to perform a concert.
This concert, conducted by their Principal Conductor Paul MacAlindin in the Palace of Arts, Suleymaniyah, Northern Iraq in front of an audience of 1000 and 12 Arab TV networks, was a huge success.
